 | Sunday 3rd September : Jennifer wins the Campbell Clock
|

This event again took
place at Whitecraigs Golf Club and
38 girls took part this year, which was down on previous years for some
reason. The weather was reasonable kind-just a few heavy showers then a
brisk wind!
17 played in the Campbell Clock with Jennifer McLeod of East
Renfrewshire winning with 37 points. Heather Conejo of
Williamwood was 2nd with 36 points and the Briggs Girls
3rd equal with 34 points.
8 played in the 10 hole competition with Hannah King of
Williamwood winning with 16 points and Linsey Stevenson of
Whitecraigs coming 2nd with 15 points.
13 played in the Par 3 strokeplay competition with Laura Wilson
of Cowglen winning with a score of 33 and Eilidh Foster, also
Cowglen coming 2nd scoring 34.Their putting competition was
won by Ailsa Thomson of Portpatrick with 41 putts.
We had some novelty competitions as well so hopefully most of the girls
went home with a prize.
Thank you to all who helped on the day -walkers, scorers etc – but a
very special thank you to Beth and Christeen who ran the after as
I was playing elsewhere.

Secretary)

Unfortunately not all the eligible girls were able to play so there
was be one semi-final between Natasha Qayum (Ranfurly Castle)

In the final in the afternoon, Eilidh's experience came in to its own
and despite some lovely golf from Leslie, Eilidh won 4 and 3.Our thanks
must go to Bonnyton Golf Club for
the courtesy of the course and their very warm welcome. To see some

and Argyll Girls on Saturday 13th May 2006 at Ralston Golf Club
|
|
Despite perfect weather and a beautiful golf
course, Renfrewshire girls were beaten 3 matches to 1 by a very
experienced D & A girls' team.
They played a fourball format as it was very busy and 2 matches reached
the 18th where we won 1 and lost 1. It was a great learning
day for many of the girls as some have very little matchplay knowledge!!
A quick tea rounded off a very friendly and enjoyable afternoon. Thanks
go to Dorothy Yates and Anna Telfer for coming to support
the girls.
